Central Adirondack Art Show! @ The View

I've earned an Honorary Mention in the Mixed Media category at the Central Adirondack Art Show!

The new work on display is Loon.

I snapped a quick pick before I sent Loon to the show.

The work on Loon was a bit rushed as the Side Walk Art Show at the Munson William Proctor Institute immediately preceded the Central Adirondack Art Show.  I was going to submit new work for the Side Art Show as well, but my plans for that particular piece hit a wall due to lack of acrylic resin.  Yet between that debacle and staging a new piece within a two week period, it did not come out that terrible.

Central Adirondack Art Show – Master’s Division!

“Wonder” is now on display, in the Master’s Division, at the VIEW!!!

My work is alongside that of many other talented artists, who also found themselves in the top 10% of all entrants.

The VIEW is the Old Forge Art Center, part gallery museum and workshop it brings visual and performing arts straight to the heart of the Adirondacks.  Their new building has just been completed, and the place looks awesome!  I am so happy to have my work featured in such a beautiful facility.  It is an amazing place and worth the trip up north, there is also plenty to do in and around Old Forge.  Once you’re in the area it is very easy to spend the entire day there.

My work and that of many other talented artists will be featured in the show until August 7^th, 2011!

…be sure to vote for your favorite, ;-).

Oh and the original of “Wonder” has been purchased by a patron of the show, so if you want a print I would buy them now before I have to raise the price.
